Meet El Midi

It doesn't look anything like a Mexican meal because it isn't. The funky french dueña has a buffet that offers 5 or 6 different kinds of quiche, 3 or 4 pasta salads, and full fresh salad bar with carrot, boiled egg, tomato, grilled zucchini etc. The price is based on weight, so you can technically make it inexpensive, as long as you don't fill your plate up in a big heap like I do. She also normally has chocolate cake or a couple pies to choose from.
It's a real nice change from tacos and cheesy quesadillas. I never thought I'd say this, but for the past few days I've been really sick of Mexican food.Sitting in this little plaza covered by umbrellas, and listening to the ambiguous sound of languages from all over the world – This restaurant feels more like Europe then the center of Mexico.(Listening to: Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Show Your Bones and Pheonix, Wolfgang Amedeus Pheonix.)
